This summer will mark the 13th season of Sunset Cinema, which aims to enhance the quality of life in the Russellville area by bringing together members of the community.

Sunset Cinema is an outdoor movie theater that operates on the lawn of the Lake Dardanelle Visitor's Center. This event is FREE TO THE PUBLIC. These family-friendly events brought over 2000 attendees last year. The two showings scheduled this summer are on Friday, June 7, The Greatest Showman,  and Friday, June 14, The Sandlot. Each showing will begin at approximately 8:30 p.m. Activities will take place prior to each showing starting at 7 p.m.

IN THE EVENT OF RAIN SUBSEQUENT DATES HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED.

Lake Dardanelle State Park is known for its stunning sunsets. Enjoy the beauty as we paddle along some of the seldom see shorelines of this 34,000-acre lake. Sign up at the visitor center by calling (479) 967-5516 at least one day in advance. Please specify when you sign up if you want a tandem (2 person) or solo kayak. We will meet at the front desk of the visitor center.

The CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) played a large role in the development of Mount Nebo State Park. They built the cabins that park visitors stay in, they built trails that park visitors hike, and they built the highway that park visitors drive. What was their daily life like, though? Join a park interpreter to discover what the day to day life of a CCC Enrollee was like.
