Every first Friday at 4:00pm, the Pope County Library will be offering free American Sign Language classes for all ages and abilities! Children must be accompanied by an adult to attend. Classes will be taught by Bonny Hill. Bonny received her bachelor of science degree in elementary education and deaf education (K-12) from the University of Arkansas Little Rock, and has taught American Sign Language classes throughout the state for years. Adventure Arkansas MTB trails, Double Header Day. OCC & Old Post

This month we are going to put on a Double header with the help of our friends at RVOORC.
 We will start the day off with OCC at 10am (Mountain bike time) in the Illinois Bayou park. This trail has about 9 miles of fun Singletrack.
 Then After that, we will all meet at Old Post park were the fine folks from RVOORC are going to have burgers and brats cooking for everyone. Please bring your own chairs the park is limited on seating.
 We will then take to the trails of Old post from the trailhead at the parking lot just past the visitor center. This trail has about 6 miles of Singletrack that runs close to the Arkansas river.

 Keep in mind these rides are subject to weather and trail conditions.

 This is a free event that everyone is welcome to join. The only requirements are that everyone who rides wears a helmet and signs a FOORC waiver.

If you can't  make this ride keep in mind FOORC will continue with the Adventure Arkansas MTB series  with one ride a month, schedule below. Hope you can join us on the trails.

Race begins Aug 3 @ 8am from the Atkins School Admin parking lot, will loop around town, and end back at the parking lot. The 5k is open to walkers and runners of all ages! $25 if registered before July 3 and $30 after July 3.

 You will be able to pick out clothes for your children at no cost to you!   You do NOT have to donate to participate.  If you need clothing or school supplies for your children, you are welcome to come get some things.

Bring water and wear sturdy shoes.

Lover’s Leap and the legend surrounding it is a part of the tradition of Mount Nebo State Park. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes, and bring water.
