Lights of the Ozarks - Lighting Night and Parade

Bundle up the whole family and join us for the Lights of the Ozarks lighting night and parade on Friday, November 16th. The thousands of twinkling lights will be turned on to illuminate the entire downtown square at once and the parade will weave through downtown to follow. The event begins promptly at 6pm so make sure to be parked, staged and ready for an evening of fun. This annual event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Following lighting night, the lights illuminate the square each evening from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Nightly carriage rides, fresh hot chocolate, and festive holiday music make the Lights of the Ozarks an event that cannot be missed. Each year Fayetteville Parks and Recreation workers spend over 3,300 hours decorating the Downtown Square with over 400,000 lights. The lights remain on each evening through December 31, 2018.

Fresh coffee is served and then lunch is served at 12 pm to 1 pm.  In addition to the wholesome and delicious hot FREE LUNCH served two other offerings for our Neighbors are now available. Guests who come for lunch can now pick up a sack lunch to take with them and have a second free meal; and, after lunch, there are usually “take-outs” available (and, as always, generous portions of “seconds” are served before dessert.)
Also, the clergy and people of All Saints’ have begun a new “Loaves and Fishes” ministry, with Sunday morning offerings at the altar now including necessities like cereal, peanut butter, shelf-stable milk, toilet paper, toiletries, hand soap, and detergent. The available items gifted each Sunday will be distributed on the following Saturday to Neighbors Table guests after the meal.

Lake Dardanelle State Park is proud to offer free winter lake cruises for the best chance of seeing our national symbol, the American bald eagle. Many other spectacular birds will be in the area for viewing including American white pelicans, ducks, and snow geese. Please dress warmly as temperatures and winds are more severe on the lake. In an effort to accommodate as many people as possible, we will be taking reservations this year. You will need to call the visitor center at (479) 967-5516 to reserve your seat. We will begin boarding 15 minutes before the cruise at the boat dock near the Tournament Weigh-In Facility. These cruises are weather dependent.
