Barrels For Buckles Fall Series Race 5

This is the 5th race of our 6 race series. Exhibitions will begin at 6 and the race will start at 8. Must attend 4 of the 6 race series to be eligible for awards. There will be a pee wee class for ages 8 and under. Entry fee for pee wee is $10. Youth class is ages 16 and under. Entry fee is $20. Open class entry fee is $30. There is a $5 office per rider in each class. Pee wee will be 3D format and youth will be 4D format. These will be whole second splits. Open is 4D format with 1/2 second splits. This is a points series. You must nominate each horse that you want to be eligible for awards. The nomination fee is $20 per horse. You can text entries to Kristi Harris at 479-567-1869. All are welcome to attend this no pressure, no questions asked free lunch.  Doors open at 11:30 am. Fresh coffee is served and then lunch is served at 12 pm to 1 pm.  In addition to the wholesome and delicious hot FREE LUNCH served two other offerings for our Neighbors are now available. Guests who come for lunch can now pick up a sack lunch to take with them and have a second free meal; and, after lunch, there are usually “take-outs” available (and, as always, generous portions of “seconds” are served before dessert.)
Also, the clergy and people of All Saints’ have begun a new “Loaves and Fishes” ministry, with Sunday morning offerings at the altar now including necessities like cereal, peanut butter, shelf-stable milk, toilet paper, toiletries, hand soap, and detergent. The available items gifted each Sunday will be distributed on the following Saturday to Neighbors Table guests after the meal.

There are come-and-go activity stations in the visitor center Lakeview Room with activities the whole family will enjoy. Stamp your passport at each of the four stations to receive a special discount in the park’s gift shop. Activities include knot tying, Native American games, Eagle Measure Up, and a make and take tree cookie craft.

Lake Dardanelle State Park is proud to offer free winter lake cruises for the best chance of seeing our national symbol, the American bald eagle. Many other spectacular birds will be in the area for viewing including American white pelicans, ducks, and snow geese. Please dress warmly as temperatures and winds are more severe on the lake. In an effort to accommodate as many people as possible, we will be taking reservations this year. You will need to call the visitor center at (479) 967-5516 to reserve your seat. We will begin boarding 15 minutes before the cruise at the boat dock near the Tournament Weigh-In Facility. These cruises are weather dependent.
