Online Ticket holders will use the EXPRESS ENTRANCE LANE to enter and park. Arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your TICKET ENTRANCE TIME.

The most celebrated outdoor light display in Arkansas for the holiday season opens at Garvan the Saturday before Thanksgiving and runs through New Year’s Eve (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas days). The Gardens will be aglow with over 4.5 million lights in a myriad of natural settings. Features include the luminescent Garden of the Pine Wind, the 50-foot tall Holiday Tree which plays holiday tunes animated to a light show, the Parterre garden on the Great Lawn, and traditional holiday scenes in the woodlands. Conclude your walking tour with free hot chocolate. The Chipmunk Café is open nightly until 9 p.m. serving soups, sandwiches, and snacks.

Holiday Lights is open when it rains; the Gardens closes in the case of inclement weather that would threaten the safety of visitors (lightning, ice, hail. high winds). Sorry, there are no refunds for closings.

This will be our 9th year for this race and like every year the chili and potato soup will be hot and ready after you finish. Registration opens at 7:00am on top of the mountain at the big pavilion. We shuttle you down a .50 mile to the starting line and back up again after the race, some choose to use that as their warmup for the race. For the participants we have long sleeve technical shirts and a limited number of Christmas ornaments to give out. They will be in your registration bags. Before Mount Nebo was a state park, it was home to the luxurious Summit Park Hotel that catered to the upper class. With activities that ranged from evening balls to horseback riding, it was the premiere place to spend the summer in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Join a park interpreter to explore the nooks and crannies of Mount Nebo's hotel history.

Winter brings new things to appreciate at Mount Nebo State Park; no leaves on the trees means an unobstructed view of the Arkansas River Valley, and the cold weather means there won't be any bothersome bugs stinging or biting. Join a park interpreter on a gorgeous  hike on a 2-mile portion of the Rim Trail. Wear sturdy footwear and bring plenty of water.
